Emily Clayton @ Eastern Expansion

Emily Clayton is a Chicago based artist whose sculptural works interpret ghostly forms.

Sad Cycle includes works that are inspired by death rituals. The exhibition is part of a larger series that seeks to examine ways in which people grieve through a lens of palpably dramatic forms and performance. The pieces shown at Eastern Expansion were created in the past three months and reflect an intimate focus on material and a process-driven sculptural practice.

Timo Vaittinen (b.1976), lives and works in Helsinki, Finland. The intense aesthetics of Timo Vaittinen reflect not only the artist himself, but also the generation he grew up in and around. Vaittinen works with various mediums from video to painting to spatial installations. His imagery is rooted in the popular culture that so many of us, in one way or another, have been part of.
